"Colored wood sculpture of the Gauri, with flared skirt and raised hands on a round pedestal with six feet. She is dressed with gorgeous jewels on her crown, nose and neck, wearing a skimpy choli and a red-flowered skirt. Such figures with their male counterpart are used at the Gangaur Festival, the Gauri, resp. Parvati, the wife of Shiva, is dedicated and committed by women. The festival takes place especially in Rajasthan and is the spring, a good harvest and not least a happy marriage. Slight age wear."

An early artistic feature in the style of the mirror influenced by Chinese porcelain techniques and artistic styles. Truly an extraordinary mirror and early example of the European style and technique influenced by Japanese and Chinese artisan porcelain and tin glazed work.

Early 1800s post American Revolution gold gilded spread wing wood carved eagle. The eagle is created on a grandiose scale, consistent with America's defeat of their British occupiers. The talons resemble those depicted on a piece displayed at the MET Museum. Encompassing the essence of the American Revolution and America's victory.
